Welcome to Zoom Room Dog Training in Sandy Springs, providing exceptional dog training classes using only positive reinforcement. Small group classes or private training sessions allow our expert dog trainers to teach obedience, dog agility, puppy training classes and enrichment workshops in our indoor climate-controlled dog gym.
You can also get in some exercise during a Playgroup or Private Gym session, or throw your dog a birthday party! We're available for fund-raisers for rescue groups, too, as well as meet-ups, or other canine social events.
If you're looking for the best dog trainers in Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, East Cobb, Roswell or Atlanta, please stop on by or give us a call.
what sets us apart
Positive Reinforcement Training
At the Zoom Room we practice only Positive Reward or Positive Reinforcement dog training. Positive training means rewarding your dog or puppy when she does what you want her to do. We do not punish dogs for being dogs.
teaches socialization
We believe that socialization is more important than training for your dog. That might seem strange to come out of the mouths of dog trainers, but remember – we’re no ordinary trainers! We’re the ones with the motto: “We don’t train dogs. We train the people who love them.”
we go beyond training
Training doesn’t stop the moment your dog learns to sit. We offer ongoing support for all areas of basic training, reactivity, anxious attachment, enrichment, herding, and more.
expanded class options
We offer a wide variety of small group dog training classes, workshops and private training. We have puppy classes, obedience, agility, and a range of special enrichment offerings. These classes range in difficulty from beginner to advanced. All classes are taught using only positive reinforcement training.

puppy classes
We’ll focus on getting your pup’s attention, sit, down, stay, and polite greetings, and we'll tackle common problem puppy behaviors like jumping & nipping. This core obedience work is peppered with fun & stimulating enrichment exercises
agility classes
In Agility, you and your dog will be introduced to all of our agility equipment (excluding the teeter). This class focuses on building your dog’s confidence on all obstacles and improving your handling skills.
obedience classes
In Obedience, you and your dog will learn and practice basic manners and obedience skills. Trainers will coach you at your dog’s skill level with games and individual instruction in a group environment.
rally obedience
This is a fun and exciting team sport for dogs and their human partners involving navigation through courses with numbered signs that require specific obedience skills such as Sit-Down-Stand in Heel Position, Figure 8s, Loose Leash Walking, Pivots, and Recall.
calm down class
Calm Down Class is designed to help dogs who are graduating from Private Lessons (for reactivity or over arousal) transition into group classes. Calm Down Class may also be appropriate for dogs who are in Obedience classes but are having some difficulty focusing in class
Playgroups
Enjoy a half-hour of socialization, exercise and playtime in the company of other dogs. Playgroup is off-leash and best of all, one of our trainers is always present to offer tips on socialization, interactions, and to answer any questions.

Titer tests are also permitted for certain vaccinations (Rabies and Bordatella excluded). Puppies will need to have vaccinations commensurate with their age to enroll in puppy class. You must e-mail, upload, or bring us your dog’s vaccination records prior to your first visit to the Zoom Room. If we don’t have your dog’s vaccine records on file, you won’t be able to attend the session, nor eligible for a refund or credit.

We like a safe and happy environment. To enroll in group classes, all dogs must be fully vaccinated, healthy, and social with humans and other dogs (if you need us to define “social,” chances are your dog is not). If your dog doesn’t play well with others, you can enroll in private lessons. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior during ANY class will be asked to leave. If you have questions regarding this policy, please speak to one of our trainers.

Yes. Anything we cover in group classes can be completely tailored to you and your dog during one-on-one private sessions. Private training not only gives you full control over the scheduling of your training sessions, but will almost always take far fewer sessions than group classes since you’ll have the trainer’s undivided attention. In fact, many clients in group classes supplement this work with additional half-hour private sessions to accelerate and deepen the learning.
One of our most popular options (which comes with a great discount) is a Private Training Package that consists of an initial hour of private training followed by three half-hour sessions. Our four-pack of half-hour private agility training is another of our most popular offerings.
